One of the more obscure Bananarama tracks is He's Got Tact that was issued as a 7" single in Japan in late 1982. The b-side for the song was Give Us Back Our Cheap Fares that featured on the Really Saying Something single. The song is, as can be expected by the title, terribly tacky and cute and a direct rip-off of the classic pop songs procured by Tamla girl bands in the 1960s.

"It was for Japanese TV. It was called a Honda Tact, so we wrote this cheeky little jingle called He's Got Tact! then we found it on an import single in Los Angeles. It worked really well as a jingle, but as a single, oh my GOD!" - Keren, 1984.

". . . They always want to put us in very short ra-ra skirts . . . but we have done some commercials. We did cameras and mopeds in Japan. We had to ride aroud on these mopeds with Peter Fonda . . . yes, I'm afraid so, we starred with Peter Fonda. In a ra-ra skirt. . . we were in the ra-ra skirt while Peter Fonda was being fanned in his shades and all sheltered and we were sweltering in the bally heat.
