Euro - ZYX - ZYX8429
Released: February 1996
UK chart position: Non UK Release
Initially, Take Me To Your Heart was one of two ballads on the Ultra Violet album (the other is Take Me Away) but when it was issued as the second single, the track was remixed into a dance song - and is available in trance, disco and reggae remixes. Geo's Disco Mix/Sweet Box Disco Mix is heavily influenced by the disco classic Ring My Bell and samples several loops from this track. An edited version of Tony de Vit's Radio mix is also available on a Canadian compilation CD Dance Hits All Stars '96 and this edit is unavailable on offical releases.

Four basic versions of Take Me To Your Heart were commissioned, and various
edits or radio versions of these four basic mixes swell the total number of
official remixes to nine versions. The original version from Ultra Violet was
a slow-tempo with an almost reggae-ish feel, and not suitable in its present
form as a single. The Electronic Heart Mix (6:02) as twiddled by Cassan &
Vanelli was chosen as the predominate mix for the single, and its edit - the
Radio Heart Edit 3:20 is used as the single version on compilations and in the
video. For the dance fans, the Tony de Vit Trance Mix 7:55 provides a pumped-up
techno version. This remix has two edits the Tony de Vit Radio Mix 4:47 and
an even shorter edited version 3:51 on this was included on the Dance '96 Canadian
compilation. A retro disco version was also remixed by Geo also issued as the
Sweebox Disco Mix or Geo's Disco Mix, which closely resembles Ring My Bell.
The other remixer involved with the single was Mark Cyrus who exploited the
subtle reggae feel of the original version and transformed it into a fully-fledged
Reggae Mix 3:47.
The US promo CD-single featured two Mark Cyrus remixes, the Reggae Mix (No Acapella
Intro) 3:37 is exclusive to this issue and is edited so that the acapella introduction
is omitted. There are two unofficial DJ Remix Service Remixes that are known.
The Eurotracks version is basically a restructuring of the Tony de Vit Trance
Mix, whereas the Ace DJ Remix is based on the Sweetbox Disco Mix and samples
the chorus of "Shy Boy".
